Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin

A curious thing about Glenn Beck when you watch him is how he approaches an argument that will contradict himself, then backs off, apparently unaware that he is about to flip-flop.

I thought he was extremely softball with Sarah Palin – I’d call it nerfball. I believe the Beck & Palin are NOT on the same page in their political beliefs, but you wouldn’t know it from the interview because instead of discussing specifics on any issue it was mostly about vague abstract beliefs projected onto the founding fathers.

At one point, Beck brought up the current discussion in the media about Wall Street bankers who “make too much money” to drive the point about the Federal Reserve also making a record profit. Palin replied that she had dealt with this in Alaska with oil companies who were also “making too much money.” What she did was tax the oil companies to redistribute the wealth to Alaska’s citizens. Now according to Beck, “redistribution of wealth” is an Obama socialist plot, but neither of them acknowledged that this was exactly what she had been doing this in Alaska and in fact even bragged about it during her vice-presidential campaign.

So Glenn & Sarah, please explain why wealth redistribution from Big Oil to Alaskans but not OK from Wall Street and other wealthy companies and individuals to Americans in the other 49.

Has it really been three and a half years?

Well so much has happened and there is so much to talk about: The Economy, Barak Obama, health care, Republicans, FOX News. I plan to cover them all asking questions that aren't being asked by others, and looking at perspectives others aren't looking at. Stay tuned.
